The delivery of this 68-tonne drying roller marks the end of a long term project for Turners Project Freight which has seen eleven shipments of heavy machinery, construction materials and components being delivered to a site close to Ermelo in the Mpumalanga province.
“The project has seen us handle shipments of all shapes and sizes over the past few months. Most of the plant machinery has come through the port at Durban from manufacturers in China,” says Chris Mulder, Project Freight Manager.
This 18-metre long roller, like some of the other loads, was oversized and required an escort by provincial traffic officers as it made its way up-country.
“I am glad to say that, on the whole, the shipments made it to site within the time frame established by the client. The service we provide is part of a greater project and it is always satisfying to know that we have done our part.”
