Turners Shipping’s Africa Network has been strengthened as the company’s global partner, BDP International opens new offices in Nairobi and Mombasa, Kenya.
“We already have an extensive network of agents in countries throughout the continent,” says Neren Dayanand, Turners Shipping’s Regional Manager – KZN. “The addition of the BDP offices provides a more comprehensive scope of logistics services to clients in East Africa.”
An IMF report registers East Africa as the fastest growing economy in the sub-Saharan Africa region.
“There is a young emerging population which increases demand for consumer goods,” says Dayanand.
The port in Mombasa serves as a gateway in East Africa for ocean cargo destined for Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, The Democratic Republic of Congo and South Sudan.
