Import / Export Document Requirements:
• Commercial Invoice and packing lists are required

for shipments into Egyptian ports
• Manifest amendments after arrival of vessel are

subject to penalties (Egyptian customs).
• ACI Number must be on the bill of lading effective

1st July 2021
• Any discrepancies in description of goods, weight

or piece count will be subjected to a custom fine
and that includes change of consignee name after
vessel arrival. HS Code must be on bill of lading.
• All transshipments must be cleared at port of entry.
• All BL must read: place of delivery - Merghem
bonded warehouse -
• Prohibited commodities: alcohol, Tobacco and
Garments / Fabric prohibited to Egypt inlands
• Motorcycles are not accepted

For personal effects shipments, load port must have
the full details of actual shippers including copy of
passports if shipper is not the resident of the country.
